Steven Campbell holds a bachelor’s in electrical engineering from OSU and a master’s in electrical engineering from Santa Clara University. He has served as chairman of the board of Packeteer since its inception and served as Packeteer's chief executive officer from January 1996 through April 1996. Packeteer develops bandwidth management systems and is on a mission to improve the quality of Internet service. He was a founder of StrataCom, Inc., a network switching equipment company that was acquired by Cisco Systems in July 1996. Campbell was employed at Stratacom from January 1986 to June 1986 as chief executive officer, and from June 1986 to 1990 as vice president of engineering and operations. He previously headed the PBX development at Rolm Communications, Inc., a telecommunications company, and held various positions at Intel Corporation.
